Jesus in the news:

Hospital asks Jesus to change name

Published: 23rd March 2006 09:00 CET

Bosses at a Stockholm hospital have asked a nurse called Jesus to change his name, after concerns that it might cause confusion among patients.

According to Jesus, an auxiliary nurse at Huddinge hospital, his superiors were worried that patients told "Jesus will be coming soon ," might get the wrong idea.

"If they thought that Jesus was coming they might believe that they were already dead," the nurse told The Local.

Jesus, who will now use his middle name Manuel, said he didn't have a problem with the change.

"I understand why they wanted me to use my middle name," he said.

But, he added, "my name never usually causes me problems."

That's awesome.

I wonder if there he is the only Jesus that works there. Imagine if they too constantly joked about the constant presence of the Jesi.

This blog is by no means strictly for the benefit of my fellow colleagues. And although I do discuss literature from time to time, I have found that most of my writing has evolved into little more than an expletive filled rant. But it does give me a break from literature and research, etc.

Please feel free to comment at any time. I am not a terribly private person, as you can probably tell by my posts. However, I am curious as to whether or not you also had a blog to go along with your profile.

amanda,

checked out the blog and you had some very interesting things to add to the discussion. Well done. And grad school is a good time, despite our constant bitching. I think most of my colleagues would agree.
